God’s Promise : Impatiently Waiting

Hebrews 6:13-15 (CEV)13 No one is greater than God. So he made a promise in his own name when he said to Abraham, 14 “I, the Lord, will bless you with many descendants!” 15 Then after Abraham had been very patient, he was given what God had promised.

Let's  face it  instant gratification is  addictive  and  as a result patience is  a  area  that many us   struggle with.  The problem with  instant  gratification is  we  rob ourselves  of trusting God  and his timing.  You may be praying for a  spouse  , new  home or a job and time has passed and  nothing seems to be happening.

This is  the time when you need to trust  Gods process;  Ask  God  what you need to learn in the season,  what  are areas in your life that you need to  grow in before my prayers come to fruition.  Keep in mind that " not now"  doesn't mean  that what you've prayed for will never happen.  Anything  worth  having  comes with a  process to get there God has to sort somethings out in your heart.  Ask yourself this: Is your  hope is in  him, are you totally reliant  on Him or is all your focus tied into  the thing you're praying for.

God hasn't forgotten you, He  is  developing you for the next chapter in your life.   The only thing you have to gain by rushing things  and  attempting  to make things happen on your own is arriving  unprepared and  underdeveloped.  What's the point of having all that you want but not knowing how  to maintain it?

Begin to  shift  your focus from  your  wants to  the one that  holds  you in the palm of  His hands. Continue to believe, follow  Gods  lead and  not only will your patience be rewarded but  you'll be  fully  equipped to move forward  and maintain  your blessings.

Love,
