A Change of Plans

People plan their path, but the Lord secures their steps. Proverbs 16:9 (CEB)

All  pictures are taken by and edited by Lesli Allyn Blogs unless otherwise stated.

Our  plans and  Gods plans   at times  differ. We  may have a  plan for our lives  where we  should be by  a particular  age, where we should work or live; But  life  takes a turn and  sometimes the plans we  have  don't  match  where  God has  us currently.  Where you are in your life right now is a important part of your story and  in this season of your life there are things that you need to learn about  yourself and through  spending time with God you will learn  how to better navigate through life moving forward. So don't miss this opportunity  to absorb all that God  is  preparing your for.  Remember, a delay in your  dreams   doesn't always means that the answer is   no but think of the delay as a  chance  to  become  more  mature and fully  prepared to  maintain your dreams.

Giving Up Isn't An Option

No, in all these things we have complete victory through him who loved us! Romans 8:37(GNT)

All pictures  belong to and are edited by Lesli Allyn Blogs unless otherwise stated.

Sometimes  when  plans fall through  we  lose  confidence in ourselves and our abilities, especially  when you've put  a lot of time and efforts in to a project that  is unsuccessful.  You're first thought may be to give up  completely  give up on your dream but I want to encourage you to  keep going. You'll find in so many stories of successful  business owners that they have tried to launch  several projects that have not worked out  for one  reason of another  but in spite of those plans falling through giving up was not  a option.  God has given each of us  purpose in the earth and remember that  the  road to success is  a process that  may take some time.  So  keep going, if  God has given you this  dream then He will see it  through to it's completion.

Why Letting Go of Anger Is Important.

If you become angry, do not let your anger lead you into sin, and do not stay angry all day.  Don't give the Devil a chance. Ephesians 4:26-27 (GNT)

All  pictures belong to and are edited by Lesli Allyn Blogs unless otherwise stated.

Anger is a emotion that  can quickly  cloud our  judgement and  cause us to say or do things without  a lot  thought.  Often  we waste so much time  trying to defend our  pride that we  neglect to take a  step back and sort through  our  thoughts.  Emotions are fleeting so it is  vital that we don't allow how we feel in that  moment to  build  to the point  where we allow it to ruin relationships and keep us  isolated. The intensity of  how you feel in that moment  often times  is bound to  change at some point.

Don't waste another day carrying  around  bitterness and  pain. Instead  take all that is  in your heart and mind to God and  allow Him to shift your heart and grant you clear thinking.  One of the  enemies  missions is to sever our families  and  relationships with others through causing  division over meaningless confrontations. Don't give the enemy a foot hole into your mind and your relationships. We  all need each other and our  connection to one another  is important. So  today if you are holding on to anger resolve it, be determined to fight for your relationships.

Different Path With The Same Destination

If you hurt others because of something you eat, then you are no longer acting from love. Do not let the food that you eat ruin the person for whom Christ died! 16 Do not let what you regard as good get a bad name. Romans 14:15-18 (GNT)

All pictures belong to and are edited by Lesli Allyn Blogs unless otherwise stated.
As  believers  we each have a  our own individual  road to  finding Christ and knowing Him for ourselves.  No two stories are  exactly the same  but the end goal remains the same which is to  continue to  grow and mature  in  our  faith one day at a time. What we  must keep in mind is that because  each of our  stories are different we must be careful of how we  judge other believers and their  relationship with Christ. One of the  major  issues in the  body of Christ is  rejecting  others who's  walk with the Lord doesn't mirror our own.  Remember,  God  created each of us  uniquely and He  knows exactly how to communicate with us and how to draw us  closer to Him.  So  we must be careful not to discourage or  reject  each other but  instead we  should lift each other up. Now, If you find that you have some  concerns with the direction that  a friend or loved one is going in, before you bring it up to them  first  bring all your  concerns  to God.  If  He leads you to  say something then  move forward  as He leads you but make sure it's  done in love and with  compassion.

Love & Sacrifice

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16 (NKJV)

All pictures are taken and edited by Lesli Allyn Blogs unless otherwise stated.

God gave us  one the  best examples that love  sometimes  means  sacrifice.  Through  God's love for us  He gave us  Jesus and   through  Jesus'  love for  us He gave His life on the cross.  So  we   now   have everlasting life and  our sins  are covered.  Within our own relationships we   must be willing to  see beyond our own needs and learn to  be  willing  give our time,  attention, love and resources to  maintain  balanced relationships. If you're only  seeking to solely  have  your needs met then you're missing the full  picture of what love is.

I understand that some are put off by the word  sacrifice so let's  shift your  perception.  To experience  love  through sacrifice means  you're  proactive about serving  others,  you make yourself   available when there is  a need even if that means  moving some things around in your schedule and lastly giving without  expectation of receiving  something back in  return. When you walk these things out you  may not get the response that you think you deserve but  don't allow that to  harden your heart. Know that  God see's  the work you're doing and He will reward your efforts.

Beating Fear

Do not fear, for I have redeemed you;I have summoned you by name; you are mine. Isaiah 43:1 (NIV)

All pictures are taken by and edited by Lesli Allyn Blogs unless otherwise stated.

These days we are experiencing  a  lot.  We  see so much going on in the news or  maybe there are things in our personal lives that   keep us  anxious  and  fearful.  It is easy to get  caught  up and to allow  fear to steal our joy.  But  fear  doesn't have  to defeat, us we can  turn it  around  by attacking  our  fears with  Gods  promises.  In  Isaiah 43:1  God  says He has redeemed us, called us  by name and declares that we are  His! There is  no better  feeling of security  than  knowing that  the same God that created the heavens and earth , molded us with His hands,  and gave  us  Jesus  Christ  promises to  stand with us  through anything we  will face.  We  can have bold confidence to meet every fear with the power of  God behind us!

Pushing Past Life's Obstacles

I can endure all these things through the power of the one who gives me strength. Philippians 4:13 (CEB)

All pictures all taken and edited by Lesli Allyn Blogs unless otherwise stated.

We've   all come to a point where we  have  reached the end of our rope and  we just  want to give up. Life can get  hectic with all the  responsibilities  that we have and  the desire to reach,  perfection can cloud our vision.  Perfection is  not what we should be striving for  because  perfection begin and ends with Christ. But through Him we are fully equipped to  endure any obstacle because  with Christ all things are possible and  we are able to  push through  life's  obstacles.  You've  come too far to just give up; Shift your focus from your problem to your solution which is  submitting our concerns to God and  trusting Him to  work things out.

Connect to The Vine

I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, then you will produce much fruit. Without me, you can’t do anything. John 15:5 (CEB)

All pictures are taken by and  edited by Lesli Allyn Blogs unless otherwise stated.

With the hustle and bustle  of  life  and trying to  move from one  goal to the next we can  begin to move so fast that we  neglect to  spend time with  God  to find out with His  plans are. We can  only  get so far within our own  power  but  once we  connect our faith and patience with Gods  power  things will come together in ways that you could not begin to imagine.  God  has made  us  a  promise in  John 15:5  the Lord says if  we  remain in  Him  he will remain in us and with His  provision  we  succeed.  If you've been trying to   navigate through life on your own and  find that you are  exhausted yourself , it's time to  let  go and   connect  back  to God our  ultimate source.

Share The Love

“I give you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, so you also must love each other. 35 This is how everyone will know that you are my disciples, when you love each other.” John 13:34-35 (CEB)

All pictures are taken by and edited by Lesli Allyn Blogs unless otherwise stated.

One of the best ways to  receive  the love you would like to experience is to  be the love you want to receive.  So think about  what  makes you feel loved. Is it  through quality time,  a  text  just to say that you were on their mind or sharing a meal? Everyone has their  own particular  love language  so  it is important to  be in tuned to what your  loved ones and friends need to  feel loved. We  should also  mirror the love of  God outside of our circle friends or  with a significant other by  serving others. For example you can  volunteer at  church or at a local non profit organizations of your choice.   As  disciples of Christ loving others in way that doesn't have limitations is what makes us stand out.  So be creative  find ways to not only walk in love but  share  the  love of Christ.

Don't Stop Dreaming

I know the plans I have in mind for you, declares the Lord; they are plans for peace, not disaster, to give you a future filled with hope. Jeremiah 29:11 (CEB)

All pictures belong to and are edited by Lesli Allyn Blogs unless otherwise stated.

Do you have  a  God  given  dream in your heart  but  it hasn't come to fruition  yet?  Well first consider this; It is  an  honor  that God has  entrusted you with His plan. Also, if He has  given you a dream then He will see it through to  it's completion.  Often times we get impatient and feel as if we need to  assist  God with our  dream.  We can try to  make things happen , make our own connections but the truth is that our plans and  abilities  pale in comparison to following  Gods plan and His ability to  open the right doors at the right time. So  to avoid  all the frustration and  exhaustion of  doing things  in your own way,  give it to God and trust  His plan. Don't be discouraged  by the roadblocks on the way to your dream.  Just  trust the process on the road to your dreams.  Remember. what  God has placed in your heart is still alive and valid.  Trust  Gods timing as well as the  process to unlock your dreams.

No Ordinary Love

Consider the kind of extravagant love the Father has lavished on us—He calls us children of God! It’s true; we are His beloved children.1 John 3:1 (VOICE)

All photos are  taken by and edited by Lesli Allyn Blogs unless otherwise stated.

With Valentines  day quickly approaching  as a  single  you may feel  a  bit sour about the whole day. But  what we must  understand that  being single isn't a  disease.  It's  a important season of your life we must look at it from a  different  perspective. Think of it this way, with this time  we are  able to  to really  cultivate our  relationship with Christ and absorb wisdom from Him.  Time spent with  Christ will fill your  heart in  a way that cannot be compared to  anything else.  His love is  extravagant, it  fills every void.

So instead of feeling  like you're missing out  trust that  God is aware of where you are and what you need in the season you are in.   So  when the time does  come to connect with a  significant other  you'll really  be ready  because  of the time you have  spent with God and allowing Him to fill your  life.    When time comes you wont just   jump head first into a relationship out of  urgency but  you'll move  forward with clear thinking because  God has already  filled the gaps in your life.  You'll truly be able to connect on the basis of love and because you  compliment each other.

Living With No Regrets

He’s the one who comforts us in all our trouble so that we can comfort other people who are in every kind of trouble. We offer the same comfort that we ourselves received from God. 2 Corinthians 1:4 (CEB)

All pictures are taken and  edited by Lesli Allyn Blogs unless otherwise stated.

Living with  no regrets  is a concept that  can   be  hard to grasp at first.   Obviously we  have thing in our lives that we  may  have  done or  experienced that we  wish we hadn't.  But,  every instance where we  have been met with some sort  of adversity is  an  opportunity  to treat it as a  learning experience.  What I mean  by this  is that  if we  really take a  deeper look at our circumstances and ask God what  we need to learn from it we will be able to  use what we've learned  not only aide  us in the future but  also for someone who may be going through something similar. From there we have to opportunity to step in and give  advice from the perceptive of  our own experience.

So shift your  thoughts about  the things that you've been through and  use  those experiences to  fuel you towards  using  the wisdom  you've gained  to push  you closer to your purpose. Don't  despise the process but  trust  God  and His  ability to pull you through anything that you'll face. Every part of your  process is worth it and  you'll be  more  equipped and whole because of the knowledge that you've  gained.

Pray.Trust.Let Go!

Never worry about anything. But in every situation let God know what you need in prayers and requests while giving thanks.Philippians 4:6 (GW)

All pictures are taken and edited by Lesli Allyn Blogs unless otherwise stated.

Sometimes we  have the  tendency to  pray about our circumstances  and  put our  focus on the  issue   instead of   praying and putting our focusing on God.  Trust me I get it,  you may have been believing and praying for  something for  a long  time  and nothing has happened yet. What  I have learned from my personal experience is that I must trust  Gods timing over my own.  Believe me  I know how hard it  is to let go but what  I've realized over the years is  that  it's even more  burdensome to continue to carry  around  the  anxiety  attached to my  problems.

God  never  intended  us to  weighed  down by the circumstances of  life. He ask that we  come to Him with our  request and  trust Him.  So don't be  discouraged by the  process, there are things along the way that you need to learn in order to arrive at your  breakthrough fully equipped.  So in the meantime Take this time  to  ask  God what  it is that  you need to  learn  while your going through this  transition period and ask that He  fill your life  with His  purpose for your life so  that your  focus won't  be on your own timetable.

No Effort No Results

Because of this, make every effort to add integrity to your faith; and to integrity add knowledge; 2 Peter 1:5 (GW)

All  pictures are taken by and edited by Lesli Allyn Blogs unless otherwise stated.

Have  you ever tried to cut  corners on a  project or  task only for it  to later  fall apart?  The same  happens when we  only  put  minimal  effort into our walk with Christ. Apart from Christ we  struggle with our  temporary  fixes and continually find ourselves unfulfilled.  We can never experience the  full picture of what   God  wants to do in our lives  if we are only  partially  invested in seeking  His presence, absorbing the wisdom that  comes from time spent with Him and studying the word. We  must  set our  priorities on  things  outside of  our  social and  professional ties and   give our time to the one who has the power to fill every  void in our lives.

Believe me I know how  easy it  is to fill your  life with things , people or  work.  Before you know it you realize that you  have used up all your  resources and  you've  finally reached the  end of yourself. This is  best place  you could be because it's the beginning of  recognizing that  you need the  Lord to sustain you.  No one of thing will fill  you  or connect to your heart the way the  Lord will.  Today ask God to help you let go of the things that distract you from  Him and  grant you  peace to move forward with.  I know it's hard to  let go of things that we  believed  worked at one time but  I assure that none  of the  things that you've tried  can   begin to compare with the works that  God can  do in  your life.

Winning The Battle Over our Thoughts

And every defense that is raised up to oppose the knowledge of God. They capture every thought to make it obedient to Christ. 2 Corinthians 10:5 (CEB)

All pictures are taken an edited by Lesli Allyn Blogs unless otherwise stated.

We  all  go  through a daily  battle  with our own  thoughts.   We doubt ourselves, our  abilities and our purpose. These thoughts can  leave us  feeling inadequate and condemned. But  the good news  is  that  we  don't have to accept  every thought that drops into our minds.  Through the word of  God we are  able to replace  each negative  thought with Gods  truth and what He  says about us.  Remember  the word of  God is our ammunition  so below  are  a few verses that I want to share with you. Write them down , meditate on them and  make every lie of the enemy  submit to Christ.

He is With Us
fear not, for I am with you;be not dismayed, for I am your God;I will strengthen you, I will help you,I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10 (ESV)
With Him We Are Made Strong
I can do all things through him who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13(ESV)

He  Love Us
The Lord says, “I love you people with a love that continues forever. That is why I have continued showing you kindness. Jeremiah 31:3 (ERV)

Surviving Depression

The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. Psalm 34:17(NIV)

All pictures are taken by and edited by Lesli Allyn Blogs unless otherwise stated.

Depression  and other  mental health issues is a subject that  too  often goes unaddressed.  It's can be  an  uncomfortable   subject to talk about especially if you're personally  battling any form of depression.   Just admitting that  there is something that  sets you  apart in that  way.  So many  are walking  around with their   guard up in an effort to  protect themselves  from  the judgement of others.  Carrying this  burden on your own is not only  exhausting because you  have to fake happiness but  it  also  keeps  you isolated in  your pain.

But there is HOPE!

Today,  if there is one thing that I  really want you  to walk away with is  that   there  is  HOPE! Speaking from experience I know what it's like to  go through bouts  of  depression  for weeks and not being able to see the light at the  end of my pain.  But in the midst of  all of my  pain God reached down and  gave  light to  the path of  my recovery. What you  need to know is that  what  you are  going through is  valid and most importantly  what you are going through  matters  to God. You matter  to  God!  He understand and He want to  pull you through your circumstances.

So  today I want to briefly share with you  a few steps that  helped me   survive  depression.

  • Time with God: This is your first and most important on the road to recovery
  • Create  Pinterest board with  bible verses that  uplift you and read them as often! (Click on the word pinterest for my personal  helpful collection of  verses and  quotes.)
  • Get help! Ask God to  lead you to someone  that you can trust to walk you through this time in your life.
