We All Need Grace

For you will be treated as you treat others. The standard you use in judging is the standard by which you will be judged. Matthew 7:2(NLT)

For you will be treated  as you   treat  others; Wow,with that  in mind it  should  make you  think twice  about your approach  with the people in your life.  So many seek their  own  advantage  and  toss humility  out the window.   But what we  must not lose  sight of  is  our  capacity to think about the feeling of others and  the  lasting  affect of our  actions.   I don't know about you but knowing that I set the standard of  what I receive  back by how  I treat others definitely  makes me   more  careful of what  I say and   how  I show compassion to others.

No one is perfect and we all need   Gods grace each and everyday.  So we must be  intentional  about lifting each other  up and  asking the Lord  to grant us  discretion in interaction with others.   I realize that  some people are  just purposefully  difficult to deal with and  it seems  easier  just to  reciprocate the same  sour attitude.  But what I want you to think about before you react is that people who are truly happy with themselves and their  lives don't  intentionally make others life difficult.  But those who are hurting  tend to misplace their frustration on others.  So  instead pray for them  and  move on.

We are  called to be salt and  light in the  world. This means that  we  should reflect our  love of  Christ  where  ever we go.  Think about the last time you were  going through some frustrating circumstance and   someone  extended compassion toward you   when you really needed it.  Remember  how  having someone to really  listen to you  and  care about what you were going through  lifted some of the pressure  you where  experiencing at that  time.  In that  same manner we  should examine  our intentions   show  others the grace we would like to receive  and be  Christ led  and  allow Him to use us  to  bring light when others  need to  see a  glimmer of  hope.

“You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house.  In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father. Matthew 5:14-16 (NLT)
