Praying with Expectancy

Lord, in the morning you hear my voice. In the morning I lay it all out before you. Then I wait expectantly. Psalms 5:3 (CEB)

There is  nothing like starting  your  day off by  laying all that is  on your  heart before the  Lord and leaving  it there in his  capable  hands.  It is  truly  a  privilege  to  serve a  God that   gives us  the opportunity  to  freely  express ourselves.  We  don't have  to  piece together impressive   prayers, we  can  just  come to the  Lord  as we  are  and  pour  our hearts out.

When you come to  God with your  prayers it's  important that you  are meeting  Gods provision with your  faith.  What is  the point in praying for   something  but  in your  heart  you  carry  doubt if  God will  work things  out?  A divided  mind  is  a  prayer  killer.  When  you come  before the  Lord in  prayer here are  three things you should  do:   1.Trust that he  heard you 2.Trust his  timing and 3. Rest  in the  fact that  he has  everything  taken care of.

But when you ask God, you must believe. Don’t doubt him. Whoever doubts is like a wave in the sea that is blown up and down by the wind. 7-8 People like that are thinking two different things at the same time. They can never decide what to do. So they should not think they will receive anything from the Lord.James 1:6-8 (ERV)

Don't  allow   doubt  to choke your faith or your  progress.  Gods  word is   golden  and   you can rest in the fact that  you can take   the  Lord at his word.   I believe that we often  hastily  put  God  in the same  category  of those who  have  let us  down and  didn't keep  their  word.  Know that  when  comparing  the  actions  of   man  along   side  the Lord's    reputation  the   scales will  always be unbalanced, The  Lords track record is flawless and  you  can  invest  all your hope in his  power.

Know now then that the Lord your God is the only true God! He is the faithful God, who keeps the covenant and proves loyal to everyone who loves him and keeps his commands—even to the thousandth generation!  Deuteronomy 7:9 (CEB)

Today  when you pray , pray  with  expectancy  and  trust the  Lord  with all your  heart.  When  doubt  attempts to  distract you   remember that  God is  faithful ,  he keeps his   promises and  always  proves  himself   loyal no matter the  circumstance.  Take  everything  to the Lord in prayer  and  leave it  there.

Love,
